Two lovers, both alike in heart and mind,
In fair Hudson, where we lay our scene,
A pair of star-crossed lovers join hearts,
And there begin a love unlike any other.

Word of Life Youth Camp, Hudson, Florida.
Jacob Shaw, age 14, a young man from Plano, TX with his church youth group ventures to summer camp. Jaimee Lynn, age 13, a young woman from a town near Hudson, also finds herself there with her youth group. Both unaware of the other. As the week progresses, the two unawares see each other, believing that the admired is too good for them. Jaimee let others know of her interest, and did everything she could to get Jacob's attention. The young man, quite unaware of what was going on, being inexperienced with any females other than his mom, went about his normal business noticing her beauty thinking he could look but never touch. Jacob's camp counselor, Ed Boone, noticed her gazing in Jacob's direction, and suggested they hook up. She mentioned that she didn't think he was interested. Ed then mentioned to Jacob to talk to her, to ask her out to the week-ending banquet. July 24 After much pushing and convincing, he asked her if she would like to join him as she passed by him during the banquet. She ecstatically responded positively, and they sat and ate together. They spent the next day together talking and enjoying each other's company. The week ended with an exchange of addresses and a sad goodbye.

O, think'st thou we shall ever meet again?
I doubt it not; and all these woes shall serve
For sweet discourses in our time to come.

Over the next five years, letters and phone calls were their means of communication, slowly learning everything about each other. They saw each other only a few times over the years, one absence lasted two and a half years. Nearing their fourth year together, they promised to marry one another. Time went by, and plans were made. The fifth year was spent together due to the young woman going to a college near Jacob. Come June, 1998, she left to make preparations for the wedding in Ohio, where her parents and her lived for the past three years. So, they spent the last month of their engagement apart, but the time flew, and hearts grew fonder.

The gallant, young, and noble gentleman,
The handsome Jacob Daniel, at Tabernacle Baptist Church,
Shall happily make thee there a joyful bride.

Jacob and his family came to Ohio with only the best of attire for such a joyous occasion. The counseling was quick. The preparations made. After an hour of dressing and freaking out, the wedding began. As the bride appeared, the groom was in awe and overjoyed with the thought of the rest of their lives shared together. The beauty. The bride trembled with joy as she slowly approached her future husband. The ceremony was unique in form, a most precious moment in the life of these two households, especially in the lives of these two lovers. I do. Forever.
